Fair Trade Policy

At TinyLux our mission is to facilitate a modern and interactive shopping experience through customer-service-excellence and next-gen-technologies on our shopping platform, while consistently delivering high quality products and finally, to deliver on our promises. It is our vision to be known for delivering the best customer service and shopping experience in the world. To achieve this, we believe that it is a two-way street where both our customers, and we as a company, align on good code-of-conduct. To illustrate this, we refer to our fair trade policy as stated below.
Our Expectations

To shop at TinyLux you must:

  • Intend to keep the items you purchase.
Having this intention does not prevent you from exercising your right to withdraw from a purchase. You are always entitled to your statutory right of withdrawal and returns in accordance with our Terms of Service.
  • Provide accurate information about yourself.
  • Not falsely nor mistakenly claim to be a consumer if this is not the case.
  • Refrain from exerting undue pressure or making threats against our employees regarding purchases, returns, or customer service interactions.
  • Not attempt to deceive, mislead, commit fraud, or engage in activities intended to violate applicable laws and good code of conduct.
  • Act in good faith always.

The above points constitute our Fair Trade Policy.

These include:

  • Excessive or abnormal purchasing and return patterns that indicate a lack of intention to keep ordered items.
  • Misrepresenting oneself as a consumer to make purchases and later marketing or reselling the items in/-or as a business.
  • Buying items solely for photographing them for business purposes and then returning them under the right of withdrawal, which is reserved for consumers.
  • Attempting to manipulate or fraudulently earn bonus points, misuse discount codes, gifts, and promotions, or encourage/contribute to false orders to receive compensation.
  • Trying to improperly influence or threaten our employees to extend return rights beyond our Purchase Terms or mandatory laws.
  • Fraud or deception related to returns, such as swapping/forging labels and price tags or making false claims about missing items.

Tinylux reserves the right to reject an order and is not obligated to enter into a sales
agreement via the website. Tinylux sells exclusively to consumers, and a binding purchase agreement is only established when you receive a final order confirmation and receipt from us. Tinylux may reject orders if we have reasonable grounds to believe that a customer is violating our Fair Trade Policy.

Our assessment of whether you have violated our Fair Trade Policy is based on various non-discriminatory criteria that will identify any systematically abnormal behaviour.

Orders that may be declined based on this policy are identified either by our
staff or an algorithm that detects unusual purchasing and return patterns. The algorithm processes personal data, including purchase frequency, order
composition, return history, and identity fraud attempts. The final decision on
whether to accept or reject an order is always made by our employees. If your
order is rejected, you will be notified via the email address provided at checkout. Once we have informed you of our decision, it applies to you regardless of your profile or email address. Attempting to circumvent this decision, such as by shopping under another name, constitutes a separate violation of the Fair Trade Policy.

Tinylux is responsible for handling your personal data in accordance with our Fair Trade Policy. You can read more about how we process personal data and your rights in our Privacy Policy.

The purpose of processing your data is to maintain our Fair Trade Policy, with our legal basis being legitimate interests. Our legitimate interest is to evaluate and respond to fraud attempts, law violations, and ensure compliance with the policy.

We review purchasing and return behaviour for up to one year, but in certain cases, data may be processed for a longer periodβ€”for example, if an unclear purchase pattern arises or a long-term policy violation is suspected.

If you have been denied purchasing due to our Fair Trade Policy, this decision may be stored for up to three years from the last rejection date.

We strive to make a fair and accurate assessment if we have reasonable grounds to suspect a violation of our Fair Trade Policy. You always have the right to request a review of our decision by contacting us using the contact details listed on our website.

Please note that our Fair Trade Policy does not prevent you from exercising your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal or Tinylux’s 30-day return policy for binding
purchases. In exceptional cases, our Fair Trade Policy may prevent you from entering into an agreement with us.
